"Beware, Hasina Might Sneak In: Hasnat Abdullah Warns at Chuadanga Event"
Hasnat Abdullah urges unity to resist fascism, calls for justice and educational reforms in Chuadanga.

Hasnat Abdullah, the convenor of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has urged citizens to remain vigilant, stating, "Sheikh Hasina might sneak in anytime. You must resist her entry to Dhaka."
He made these remarks on Monday, January 27, at 4:30 PM during the "Chuadanga Rising" event organized by the district's Citizen Committee at the open stage of the Chuadanga Shilpakala Academy.
Hasnat criticized those with familial or financial ties to the ruling Awami League, accusing them of lobbying for its survival. He stated, "We know who shares kinship with the Awami League. Some are lobbying to rehabilitate the party, but you stay silent about holding them accountable. Our movement cannot be bought with parliament seats or bribes."
Highlighting the political awareness among young people, Hasnat urged them not to lean toward power-hungry politics, which has historically led to exodus. He added, "In Chuadanga, infrastructural development has been neglected. Without quality educational institutions, no progress is possible. We demand the interim or incoming government prioritize education."
Criticizing past elections, Hasnat said, "Under the Awami League, some voted 30 to 40 times, while others couldn’t vote even once. For the past 16 years, we’ve suffered. Sheikh Hasina will be remembered as a murderer in history due to these atrocities."
Addressing law enforcement, he condemned the prevalence of corruption, saying, "Mafias controlled the administration, and the judiciary operated from Ganabhaban. Police officials, including OCs and SPs, were sold out during elections. We demand reform in the administration."
Hasnat emphasized accountability for Awami League leaders: "Before discussing whether the Awami League will participate in elections, we must ensure justice for Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader, and others. Their corruption has drained billions of our country’s wealth."
He called for unity, saying, "We must build the next Bangladesh together. Political division only benefits fascists. Preventing the rehabilitation of the Awami League is our collective responsibility."
The event was chaired by Aslam Hossain Orko, Chuadanga district convenor of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and moderated by Member Secretary Saffatul Islam. Key speakers included Nusrat Tabassum, Central Coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement; Molla Faruk Ehsan, a member of the National Citizen Committee’s International Cell; and representatives from Meherpur, Kushtia, and Islamic University.
Organized by the National Citizen Committee under the theme “Chuadanga Rising,” the event highlighted the need for political reform and unity to dismantle fascist systems. It saw participation from people of diverse professions in Chuadanga.
